By Ivan Pereira

Nomar Anderson, 28, was shot early Saturday morning opposite his apartment building at Merrick Boulevard and 109th Avenue, police said. The next morning, Jamal Greene, 31, was shot several times outside a house at 108th Avenue and Guy R. Brewer Boulevard, according to police.

Greene, who police say lived a block from where he was shot, was pronounced dead at Mary Immaculate Hospital a short time later.

Police arrested Omo Deokoro, 30, of Brooklyn, Sunday afternoon in connection with Anderson's homicide and charged him with murder and criminal use of a firearm. They did not have any suspects in connection with Greene's murder as of Monday and the investigation was ongoing.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crimestoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). All calls will be kept confidential.
