Anthony Iuliano, community affairs officer for the department, gave an update on eight buildings in the area that either had an open violation or had received a complaint in recent months.Three of the buildings mentioned – 45-04 165th St., 129-11 7th St. and 39-16 College Point Blvd – have outstanding violations from the Environmental Control Board. A building located at 18-05 215th St. has 12 outstanding department violations.The Buildings Department attempted to investigate a complaint at 123-24 Lax Ave., but were unable to gain access to the site and plan to return, Iuliano said.Information on all buildings in the city is available on the agency's Web site, www.nyc.gov/buildings.Lt. William Cook of the Queens North Task Force was also on hand to discuss the role of the task force in assisting police patrol in Flushing Meadows Corona Park and throughout the area. Cook said the unit is trained in policing disorderly crowds and would be ready to assist in large incidents throughout the city.
