SJU Law professor Victoria Brown Douglas and her law students have developed a partnership with 5th grade students at the Immaculate Conception School of Jamaica Estates. They have come together to help create a unique program where the younger generation can get a better understanding on how the law system works. On Saturday, April 19 the 5th graders will perform a mock trail based upon the old Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale “The Emperor’s New Clothes.” The embarrassed monarch is now suing the tailors for fraud and misrepresentation in this retelling of the classic tale mixing laughter and learning together entitled “The Emperor v. Swin and Del.”
