Police looking for robber of four Queens banks

FLUSHING Police were seeking the public's assistance in locating a man wanted in four bank robberies in northern Queens during the last three months.

Police said in each of the incidents the suspect entered the banks, approached the teller, showed a silver handgun and demanded cash before fleeing the branch. No injuries were reported in any of the incidents, police said.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s, about 5-feet-7-inches tall and weighing about 135 pounds.

Police said the man struck most recently on April 9 at the HSBC Bank at 44-04 Kissena Blvd. He also robbed a Queens County Savings Bank at 254-09 Horace Harding Expwy. April 4, a Flushing Bank at 44-43 Kissena Blvd. Feb. 20 and an Apple Bank at 43-73 Kissena Blvd. Feb. 11, according to authorities.
