Triborough Bridge worker dies in scaffolding mishap

ASTORIA A construction worker died Tuesday after he fell nearly 40 feet off a scaffolding under the Triborough Bridge, the FDNY said.

The incident occurred around 3 p.m. around Hoyt Avenue, according to the FDNY. The unidentified worker was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries an FDNY spokesman said.
