‘Boulevard of Death’ Takes Another Life

Police are investigating the death of a 76-year-old woman who was hit by a car.
Cops responded to a 9-1-1 call at the intersection of 70th Street and Queens Boulevard at about 2 p.m. June 4, where they found the woman unconscious and unresponsive. An ambulance transported the 76-year-old to Elmhurst Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
The vehicle that struck her remained at the scene, and no criminality is suspected at this time. The woman’s name is being withheld until her family is notified.
