OAKLAND GARDENS — A Long Island man was arrested for allegedly speeding through the Long Island Expressway while drunk, police said.

Seth A. Chaikin, 30, of Massapequa, L.I., was allegedly observed driving 125 miles per hour on the LIE and 207th Street around 4 a.m. Aug. 3, according to his criminal complaint. When he was stopped by police, officers said he had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and slurred speech.
