The Varadi Ovarian Initiative for Cancer Education (VOICE) will hold a free concert in the North Shore Towers Cinema at 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 25.
The concert will feature Darren Williams, who has been named Australia’s Variety Entertainer of the Year. Although there will be open seating, there will be a reserved section for those individuals who make a $25 or more donation. Following the performance, they will also be able to have dessert with Williams in the North Shore Towers Restaurant.
The concert will benefit NYU School of Medicine’s early detection program for ovarian cancer.
The event is being chaired by VOICE founder Charles “Chick” Rudy and co-chaired by Towers resident Dr. Marilyn M. Varadi. The sponsors are Melrose Credit Union, Paula and Philip Plafker, Eileen and Arthur Hirsh, Nathan Halegua, Tom Donovan of Massey Knakal Real Estate Services, Philip Pilevsky, Jay Grossman of Global Client Group, Island Print Center of Deer Park, Schneps Communications, Varadi, and Rudy.
Reservations must be received by September 15.
