Annual fall food drive

The first day of fall saw the launch of the 4th annual “Harmony Initiative Fall Food Drive” recently, organized by the Northeast Queens Jewish Community Council (NEQJCC), with the support of numerous groups and elected officials.
“As the largest regional Jewish community council in the Greater New York area, NEQJCC is proud to sponsor this program with the Samuel Field/Bay Terrace Y, Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, UJA-Federation of New York, Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty and our elected officials,” said Jack Friedman, president of the group.
“We encourage donations of unopened non-perishable foods such as baby food, beans, pasta, rice, canned food at collection points throughout northeast Queens,” said the group’s Executive Director, Gail Eisenberg.
