City Councilmember Anthony Como was given the honor to be named the Grand Marshal of this year’s 14th Annual Italian American feast hosted by Federazione Italo-Americana of Brooklyn and Queens.
“It is my honor to be named this year’s Grand Marshal by the Federazione Italo-Americana of Brooklyn and Queens,” said Como. “This organization works tirelessly each year to provide residents from all ethnic backgrounds of Brooklyn and Queens a great feast to enjoy and celebrate Italian heritage. In addition, I am proud to support the Federazione Italo-Americana because they provide a variety of much-needed social services to the large Italian and Italian-American communities. The groups they serve are the poor, immigrants of all origins, the senior citizens and the under-privileged youth. The Federazione Italo-Americana of Brooklyn and Queens is a shining example of ordinary citizens doing extraordinary things for their community.”
Como gave special thanks to Executive Director Cavaliere Tony Di Piazza, Chairman of the Board Cavaliere Peter Cardella, President Tony Mul, Vice President John Mistretta, Secretary Gerry Genna, Treasurer Hans Mansoori, Vice-Chairman Gino Dolce and 104th Precinct Community Council President Mike Hetzer for all their hard work and dedication to the residents of the community.
