Queens dad shot dead on street

A 28-year-old father of three died after being shot multiple times.
About 4 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, Mike Stith was hanging out with friends on a Jamaica street when a masked gunman allegedly ambushed him from behind a car on 116th Drive and fired several shots, according to published reports. Stith died within minutes, but no one else was hurt.
Stith, whose case is still under investigation, had reportedly been arrested previously on charges including assault and drug possession.
The victim left behind a girlfriend, little sons and a fourth on the way, according to published reports.
“Mike was just hanging out with his friends. I am in a state of shock right now,” said Stith’s mother, Tina Stith, said in published reports.
