Grant program deadline nears

The deadline is rapidly approaching for your school to apply for one of the “Arts in the Schools” Grants from the Queens Council on the Arts (QCA) which are awarded in January.
This grant program, buttressed by the New York State Council on the Arts and the Local Capacity Building initiative, supports creative arts in education partnerships among schools, artists, and/or cultural institutions in the borough of Queens - in the form of matching grants up to $5,000.
All Queens public, private, parochial and charter schools serving grades pre-kindergarten to Grade 12, are eligible to apply for this grant.
But the deadline to submit a letter of intent to apply (which can be done online) is Monday, October 20. The “Mentoring Deadline” is Friday, October 31, and (online) applications must be submitted by Wednesday, November 12.
