The Second Annual Family Well Being and Health Fair was held on Saturday, October 25 at Roy Wilkins Park. The huge event offered comprehensive health screenings and information from Queens Hospital, Mary Immaculate Hospital and free flu shots from Rapid MD Immediate Medical Care.
Self Defense specialist Anthony Meloni of the New York Anti-Crime Agency, the 113th Precinct Crime Prevention Officer and the Precinct Explorers were also on hand to advise community residents on personal safety and crime prevention issues. The Fair included exercise instruction, home foreclosure prevention information, fun for children of all ages with face painting, fun and games, educational fun exhibits by the Queens Zoo and Alley Pond Environmental Center.
