Incumbents retained their seats in this year’s Congressional races: Gary Ackerman beat Elizabeth Berney and Jun Policarpio with 74 percent of the vote. In District 7, Joseph Crowley beat William Britt, Jr., 81 to 19 percent. Anthony Weiner had an easy victory over Alfred Donohue, 93 to 7 percent. Republican candidate Allan Romaguera lost to Democrat Nydia M. Velzquez, 81 to 19 percent. It was Carolyn Maloney over Robert Heim and Isaiah Matos in District 14.
