The Queens Courier is asking you, our readers, to help us help Santa again this year. We have selected a wide variety of letters to Santa, written with love, and hope from all parts of Queens from the Postal Service’s “Operation Santa Claus” program.
They are published in today’s edition of The Queens Courier. Please take a minute or two and read these letters. Some of the letters are cute, some are poignant, but all of them come from the hearts of the authors. None of them is selfish, but many show the hard times that families are often forced to endure - especially during these bad economic times.
If one or more of them inspire you to help - please do. We ask you to open your hearts and your wallets and make these children’s wishes come true.
Here’s How To Help
Select a letter and buy gift(s)
Bring unwrapped presents to The Queens Courier offices located at 38-15 Bell Boulevard, Bayside, NY 11361 (second floor) between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Deadline for gifts is Wednesday, December 17.
Label the gift(s) with the person’s name whose letter you selected.
If you want to bring additional gifts, those are welcomed and will be distributed too.
The Queens Courier staff and our resident jolly old elf, Santa Phil, will wrap the presents and deliver every one of them before December 25 to guarantee that these children’s Christmas wishes come true.
Please have all presents to our offices by Wednesday, December 17, as Phil and his helpers wrap presents very slowly. We thank you in advance for your generosity and participation in helping us to make this Christmas special for these children.
