ELMHURST — A Kew Gardens man was arrested on manslaughter and assault charges Tuesday for allegedly beating a man in front of an Elmhurst building Friday who died two days later, police said.
Andrew Rodriguez, 27, of 77−32 Main St., allegedly got into a physical dispute with 28−year−old Sammy Dejesus at around 11:32 p.m. Friday, police said.
Police arrived at the scene and found Rodriguez was unconscious, authorities said.
Dejesus, of 72−09 Caldwell Ave. in Middle Village, was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition before dying of his injuries Monday, police said.
