LONG ISLAND CITY — The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a man wanted in connection with the robbery of a Sovereign Bank in Long Island City.
Police say the male displayed a black handgun and demanded money from a bank employee on Feb. 2 a little after 1:40 p.m. The robber fled on foot in an unknown direction with an unknown amount of cash.
No injuries were reported.
Police said the thief is a man in his 20s or 30s and approximately 6−foot−2 and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a knit cap, dark jacket, gloves, blues jeans and sneakers.
