Two Queens subway stations were among those with top ridership in a new report that shows how the number of straphangers is increasing in the outer boroughs.
The Center for an Urban Future said the F train station at 21st Street at Queensbridge in Long Island City and the No. 7 train stop at 45th Road at Courthouse Square were among the stations with the highest growth.
The report said the 21st Street−Queensbridge station recorded an increase in riders of 253 percent between 1998 and 2008, with a daily average of 7,374, up from 2,088.
The 45th Road−Courthouse Square station was up by 189 percent, with a daily average of 9,848 riders daily, up from 3,410.
The report said the top station citywide was the F train stop at Lexington Avenue and 63rd Street in Manhattan, with an increase of 777 percent. The daily average number of passengers in the station totaled 13,488, up from 1,538.
