William Emmett Boyle, 54, of Vernon, beloved father of Aidan Boyle, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at his home in Vernon. He was born in Bellerose on October 3, 1954 to the late John and Anne (Kelly) Boyle. He grew up on Long Island and attended Farmingdale Agricultural where he received his associate’s degree. He later attended SUNY Plattsburgh and Fordham University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science.
Bill moved to Connecticut more than 20 years ago and had been working for Hartford ITT as a Senior Developer. While working with the Hartford ITT, he was very involved with the company’s charitable works, including Meals on Wheels.
He played on the company basketball team, The Clam Pit, loved to hike and bike the Rails to Trails and was a supporter of the National Arbor Day Foundation.
In addition to his daughter Aidan, he is survived by two sisters, Catherine Winkler and her husband Dave of Windsor, England and Barbara Boyle of Queens along with many cousins and close friends especially Mark Anderson of Broad Brook. Bill also leaves his former wife, Robbin Zella-Boyle of West Haven.
A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, February 24, at 6 p.m. at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue.
