Family perishes in car accident abroad

A husband and wife, as well as their seven-year-old granddaughter, perished in a tragic accident in Greece recently.
Bayside residents Eleftherios Nicolopoulos, 65, his wife Ekaterini, 62, and granddaughter Ekaterini Tsivoukas perished in a car accident on their way to their hometown. Two other grandchildren were in the vehicle, but survived.
A viewing was held on Sunday, July 19 and funeral services on Monday, July 20 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Shrine Church in Flushing.
A scholarship fund has been established in the child’s name.
