Friend struck another with wrench: Brown

COLLEGE POINT — The district attorney’s office said a 17-year-old was arraigned on assault charges after allegedly striking his friend in the head with a wrench.

The DA said at about 11:45 p.m. July 21, Joe Quiroz got into an argument with his friend at the corner of 20th Avenue and College Point Boulevard and when it escalated he allegedly used a wrench to strike him repeatedly in the head.

Police said the friend suffered lacerations to his head and was treated at a local hospital.
