“It’s My Park Day” will be celebrated all over the borough on Saturday, October 24. Residents will be out and about making their neighborhoods greener. Here are events on Saturday (and Sunday where noted) you may want to attend.

From 9 a.m. to noon at the Metzger Sitting Area, 78th Avenue and the Grand Central Parkway Service Road, in Forest Hills, with Partnership for Parks, call 718-986-2702.

Tree Giveaway

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Sunday, October 25, at Bowne House, 37-01 Bowne Street in Flushing will have a MillionTreesNYC Tree Giveaway. 1” to 1.5” Caliper trees will be available to individuals, families and community groups for planting on private property; home and property owners are limited two trees each; first come, first-served; call 718-359-0528 or email office@bownehouse.org.
