I am appalled TimesLedger Newspapers endorsed Mayor Michael Bloomberg for mayor (“Mike Bloomberg for Re-election as Mayor of New York City,” Oct. 1) in light of the fact he ignored the twice-voted-on referendum for term limits that became city law for his own egotistical and self-serving reasons.
I was one of the majority of city voters who made an effort to go to my polling site and vote for this measure — adding insult to injury when we had to do it all over again and the results remained the same: two terms only.
To read your paper of late, many of us have come to realize that your journalism is not balanced and fair but partisan and biased in favor of any and all Republicans and bashing any Democrat you can with zeal and distortion. Between your full-page editorial endorsement for a person ignoring current law to the Focus on Queens photo page that has only shown Republicans for months now, one would presume Democrats are not living and working as the majority office holders and volunteers of our community.
The fact is TimesLedger has become a mouthpiece for the GOP and the irony is it is not even trying to hide it. Bear this in mind when you read TimesLedger’s version of events and news because we are all getting a raw deal when it comes to its version of journalism.
