How many times have you heard someone say, “I wish I was more successful”? Have you thought about what it takes to be a success? We love to hear success stories, but how can we make ourselves a character in the story itself? I spoke with success coaches who gave me some insight.
The most important thing is to love what you do. If turning the key to the office becomes painful, then success is not going to happen. Loving what you do will make you good at it and make you looked upon as a commodity.
Stay focused and do not quit. The moment you believe a goal is no longer possible is when it is not. Being committed and focused to what you do will only make you better, more qualified and respected.
It is OK to be a little paranoid, especially in these times. Being overconfident will lead to you to not rebound from a mistake. Being a little paranoid will have you dotting i’s and crossing t’s more efficiently.
Lastly, go against the tide. Do not look to do what everyone else is doing. Go outside the box and think like a winner.
So How’s Business regarding being a success? The best analogy is to build your future with bricks, not sticks. Too many people build their future with sticks and making it appear they are doing a lot better than they are. They also make it look like they are doing it in a rapid timeframe, too. The first real storm that tests them knocks them down and blows them away. There are no quick fixes. Take your time and build your future with bricks. It is going to take longer to get to the level of success you want, but once there you are there to stay.
