APPOINTMENTS

Queens Library has named Dale McNeill as Director of Public Library Services. In his expanded role, McNeill’s mandate will be to maximize the outstanding level of service Queens Library’s customers receive in truly state-of-the-art facilities. McNeill has been with Queens Library since 2005 as Director of Community Library Services. He oversaw operations and staff in 61 community library facilities and a key contributor toward conceptualizing and implementing the library’s new integrated library software.

Katie H. Kim took office as executive director of YWCA of Queens on January 11. Since her start at the YWCA of Queens in 2006, she has been serving as program director for the adult education programs and social services. An inauguration service was held Tuesday, January 19 at the YWCA.

Arthur Dawson, Ph.D., a member of the New York Hospital Queens Board of Trustees since 1998, has been appointed vice chair of the Board, the governing body that oversees the 489-bed community teaching hospital. “New York Hospital Queens has been fortunate to have Dr. Dawson as one of our most active trustees for 12 years and now our community will continue to benefit from his expertise and commitment to excellence in patient-centered health care,” said George F. Heinrich, M.D., board chair.
