Cab robber sought

106th PRECINCT

Police are looking for a man wanted in connection with two livery cab robberies in the confines of the 106th Precinct.
On Tuesday, January 12, the suspect, took a livery cab from 179th Street and Hillside Avenue and requested to be taken to 135th Place and 131st Avenue. When they arrived at the location, the perp brandished a firearm and demanded money. The driver complied and the suspect exited the cab and fled westbound on 131st Avenue on foot.
Then, on Monday, January 25, the suspect took another cab from 169th Street and Hillside Avenue and requested to be taken to 134th Street and 131st Avenue. When they arrived at the location, the suspect again brandished a gun, this time demanding money and the driver’s cell phone. The victim complied and the suspect then exited the cab and fled westbound on 131st Avenue.
The perp is described by police as a male black, between 35 and 40 years old, 6’0″ to 6’2″, with a dark complexion. He is wearing a brown jacket and blue jeans.
