At about 3 a.m. on Wednesday, March 24 police responded to Karaoke Moa, a bar at 47-29 Bell Boulevard in Bayside, where a Korean man was allegedly assaulted about the head and chest with a tambourine and later punched in the face, causing redness, bleeding, swelling and lacerations.
Police in the 109th Precinct later arrested Min Choi, 35, of Flushing, who was arraigned on a misdemeanor assault charge and released. If convicted, he could get a year in jail and would have to submit a DNA sample.
