CAMBRIA HEIGHTS — Police were asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who was murdered last week in Cambria Heights.
The woman is described as white or Hispanic, about 35 to 40 years old and 4-feet-11-inches tall weighing 158 pounds with brown hair with gray roots in the front, police said.
She was found wearing a light blue shirt with cartoon characters printed on it, police said.
At around 1:14 a.m. April 15, police responded to calls that the woman was unconscious near Francis Lewis Boulevard and 228th Street in Cambria Heights.
She was taken to Queens Hospital Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival, police said.
The case was classified as a homicide Friday after an autopsy was conducted by the city Medical Examiner’s office, police said.
