Bermuda man brought cocaine into country: DA

JAMAICA — A 36-year-old Bermuda man was arrested after he was allegedly found to have cocaine in his possession at John F. Kennedy International Airport, the Queens district attorney said.

Wilton Wooldridge, of Bermuda, was arraigned June 5 before Queens Criminal Court Judge Joseph Gross on criminal possession of a controlled substance charges and held on $50,000 bail, Queens DA Richard Brown said. The defendant will return to court June 18.

On June 4, the defendant allegedly had more than four ounces of cocaine wrapped in black plastic he had hidden in his groin area, the DA said. At the time, he was in the U.S. customs terminal at JFK Airport.

He is alleged to have told police, “I bought it from a cab driver in Aruba for $500,” Brown said.
