“Cook,” as he was known to his family and friends, was a familiar face on Woodhaven’s Jamaica Avenue, where he had his office for over 35 years. He was honored on many occasions by State Farm Insurance as a “Foremost National State Farm Agent.” He was also recognized by the Greater Woodhaven Development Corporation as an “Original Founding Member of the Woodhaven Business Improvement District” and by the Woodhaven Residents’ Block Association as their “Businessman of the Year 2000.”
“Our Greater Woodhaven Development Corporation and Woodhaven Business Improvement District will miss his dedicated support and his strong, intelligent, eloquent testimony and statements he made when speaking on our behalf,” said Maria A.
