Steve Slater is workers’ hero

Steven Slater, the Jet Blue flight attendant, loses it after landing at JFK. He got on the PA system and told some of the passengers what he thought of their distasteful behavior. He did what some of us wish we had the courage to do.

His actions remind me of the 1978 Johnny Paycheck hit country song "Take This Job and Shove It," which he certainly did.

Now I have worked in retail and wholesale businesses and was always told to be courteous to the customers. Well I think the public needs to be nicer to those who serve them. In my view customer relations is a two way street.

Steven Slater decided enough was enough and is a real folk hero in my book.
