Winthrop-University Hospital’s Clinical Trials Center and Anuju Shah, M.D., from Winthrop Internal Medicine Associates, are seeking volunteers who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease to participate in a clinical research study of an investigational medication.
To be eligible for the study, participants must be 18 years-of-age or older, have a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes and have a history of cardiovascular disease such as heart attack, stroke and problems with the blood vessels in the legs. Eligible participants will receive study-related investigational medication, medical exams and laboratory tests at no cost to them. Compensation will also be provided for time and travel expenses.
