The tragic death of Brianna Ojeda should never have happened. The police officer who was on the scene was begged by her mother to help her. Why did he not do so?
All officers need to know how to perform CPR. If this officer just shrugged and said he did not know how to perform CPR, then that would have been even more of a tragedy. Aren’t officers supposed to be able to assist in all situations? Why did this officer not put the child in his patrol car and speed to the hospital to get her the medical attention she desperately needed?
This tragedy could have been avoided had that officer taken the necessary action. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Ojeda family.
