Council Speaker to be honored at Kings of Queens

Time is running out for you to attend one of the most popular area networking events – and to meet and honor City Council Speaker Christine Quinn.

The Queens Courier and Queens Business will host the 3rd Annual Kings of Queens Awards & Networking Event, presented by American Airlines. This event will recognize Queens’ most influential men in business whose achievements and participation in many community activities throughout the years has helped the city to grow.

A special award, “Top Woman of the Year,” will go to Quinn.

The event will take place Thursday, October 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Terrace on the Park in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. The day, which is expected to attract more than 500 people, will feature a morning of networking with top professionals and an expo with the area’s leading businesses.

Ticket prices are $85 each and include access to trade show, networking, refreshments, lunch, awards presentation and a raffle with proceeds benefiting the Child Center of New York.

“Our mission is to help at-risk children and youth succeed in life,” said Susan Wyant, Chief External Affairs Officer with the Child Center of New York. “We are extremely grateful for any community support. More than 1,000 children are on our waiting list for support and we are grateful to The Courier for helping us realize our goals.”
