A 17-year-old was found lying dead on the ground on 85th Avenue on Tuesday, September 14.
According to reports, a passerby noticed the fatally shot victim, Nicholas Cordova, of 106th Street in Richmond Hill, in front of 84-27 85th Avenue and called police.
EMS took Cordova, a student at the High School for Construction Trades, Engineering and Architecture, to Jamaica Hospital, where he lapsed into a coma and was later pronounced dead. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
