Bayside man, 72, dies after car strikes him

BAYSIDE — An elderly Bayside man died last week after being hit by a car at Northern Boulevard and 212th Street, police said.

Al Noskowicz, 72, was attempting to cross Northern Boulevard at about 6 a.m. when the vehicle traveling eastbound hit him, police said. The driver stayed at the scene.

Emergency medical responders transported the Bayside man to New York Hospital Queens, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
