I would like to applaud Senator-elect Tony Avella for saying that Cathie Black is not the right choice for Schools Chancellor. I think Mayor Michael Bloomberg has chosen a person who is not qualified to head this very important post of running the Department of Education. In my opinion, where can a person get a job with no experience relevant to the job at hand and get a big paycheck at the same time? I guess only in Bloomberg’s world. The children and parents of this city need a Chancellor who clearly understands the needs of the children and is connected to education.
