The squeaky wheel definitely got the grease.
After complaints from residents, the city had the properties near North Conduit Avenue, to the north of Shore Parkway, adjacent to Albert Road, cleaned up.
They’re privately owned, but City Councilmember Eric Ulrich pushed the MTA and Department of Sanitation to get these areas cleaned.
“Aside from the eyesore aspect, there were safety concerns due to all the brush and overgrowth along the sidewalk area,” said Ulrich.
