Feeding the force

For the 25th year, the Richmond Hill Block Association (RHBA) cooked a full Thanksgiving meal – complete with all the trimmings – for the men and women of the 102nd Precinct, including Commanding Officer, Deputy Inspector Armando DeLeon (center) and Community Affairs Officer John McCoy (left). Simcha Waisman (right), vice president of the RHBA, said, “It began as a way to break the ice, to build a bridge between the community and the police. They are very grateful.” The meal was thanks to the RHBA and RHBA Civilian Patrol, Senator Joseph Addabbo, and Assemblymembers Nettie Mayersohn and Mike Miller. Donations came from Key Food, Manor Deli, the RHBA Civilian Patrol and RHBA Board of Directors.
