ASTORIA — The NYPD was looking for a thief who stole a man’s credit card and used it to rack up more than $2,000 in purchases in November, police from the 114th Precinct said.
The 114th Precinct is based in Astoria and covers Woodside, Long Island City and Jackson Heights. Police did not specify where the theft happened.
According to police, a 37-year-old man said he noticed his Visa debit card was missing Nov. 1. The card was then used to make a number of purchases at several locations, police said.
Police said the suspect was a black man in his early 40s who had short black hair and was wearing a gray sweater, dark vest and dark pants.
