HOWARD BEACH — A Howard Beach man was arraigned on criminal possession of a weapon and obstructing governmental administration after he allegedly threatened to shoot a city marshal who was serving him an eviction order, a spokeswoman for Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.
William Leonardi, 54, of 162-23 90th St., allegedly told the marshal, “Get away from my house or I’ll shoot you,” after the marshal served him with the order around 6:40 p.m. Jan. 7, according to the criminal complaint.
A police officer recovered a loaded Titan .25-caliber firearm containing one magazine with five .25-caliber bullets, who was told by another officer that it was recovered from a bucket where Leonardi had placed it, the complaint said.
Leonardi was arraigned on criminal possession of a weapon and obstructing governmental administration charges Jan. 8 before Queens Criminal Court Judge Stephanie Zaro, who set bail at $7,500, the spokeswoman said.
Leonardi’s next court date was scheduled for Jan. 21, the spokeswoman said.
