ASTORIA — Police have been looking for a man who they say robbed and assaulted a senior citizen last week.
The unidentified man allegedly grabbed the 96-year-old man from behind, took his money and shoved him to the ground around 3:30 p.m. last Thursday, according to investigators.
The victim was uninjured but the suspect got away, police said.
The suspect is described as black, between 40 and 50 years old and approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and was seen wearing a black parka jacket, black knitted ski cap, black gloves and black pants, police said.
