Jamaica and Beach Channel High Schools voted to close

The Panel for Education Policy (PEP) voted to close two Queens High schools, among a dozen within the city, Thursday, February 3, according to various media reports.

Jamaica and Beach Channel High Schools were voted to be closed by the panel for the second time in two years. Last year they were given a stay of education from a lawsuit filed to save them.
