CORONA — A man was arrested last week for allegedly assaulting a cab driver who took him home, the Queens district attorney’s office said.
Daniel Alvarez, 25, of 111th Street was arraigned on assault and harassment charges Feb. 15 for the incident that took place earlier that morning, the Queens DA’s office said.
Alvarez was picked up by a cab at the corner of 104th Street and Roosevelt Avenue around 6:30 a.m. and asked the driver to take him home, the criminal complaint said.
When the driver took him to his destination, Alvarez allegedly did not pay the fare and punched the driver in the face, according to the criminal complaint.
