Sunnyside man busts girlfriend’s apt. door: DA

WOODSIDE — A Sunnyside man was arrested last week for allegedly going on a rampage at his girlfriend’s apartment, the Queens district attorney’s office said.

Jason Torres, 22, of 45th Street, was arraigned Feb. 9 on criminal mischief and harassment charges, according to the DA’s office.

Earlier that morning, he went to his girlfriend’s 40th Street apartment building and buzzed several times, but she did not let him in, the criminal complaint said. He then allegedly went to her front door and began punching it and threatened to beat her, according to the complaint.

Torres then made his way to her fire escape and threw a flower pot at the window before punching a hole through it, the complaint said. He allegedly stuck his head through the hole and threatened her again, according to the complaint.
