Our new Schools Chancellor, Cathie Black, deserves to be encouraged, rather than criticized, as she commences working for the nation’s largest public school system! Not having "proper" credentials for this most important position does not necessarily mean that Ms. Black will be an "unfit" chancellor!
History is loaded with people who have performed admirably without the "degrees" thought of as "vital" for success!
Hopefully, she will be enthusiastically supported by parents, teachers and principals from all our boroughs!
This type of support will not only benefit Black; our students will undoubtedly be beneficiaries as well!
