The 109th Precinct honored Officer Phillip Degorter and Sergeant Michael Lubomski as cops of the month for February for arresting a pair of teenage thieves.
On February 23, at 1:46 a.m., a male was approached by two individuals, one of whom pushed a hard object against the victim, simulating a gun, and demanded his money.
After the victim refused, the suspects went through his pockets and stole his phone before running away. They then fled into the Main Street 7 train station, but were apprehended by the officers, who found the victim’s phone on their person.
They were charged with robbery in the first degree. One was a 17-year-old with three prior arrests. The other was a 16-year-old with no priors.
