JAMAICA — A Long Island man did not escape from his close shave with the law Feb. 14.
Jerry Langley, 44, of Elmont, L.I., pleaded guilty to stealing from a Jamaica Duane Reade at 93-01 Sutphin Blvd., according to the Queens district attorney.
At around 3:45 p.m., Langley grabbed 19 packs of razors along with a 12-pack of beer and other items from the shelves and left the store without paying, the DA said.
Langley stuffed the items into a black plastic bag, but was confronted by a security guard outside the store, the DA said.
He was sentenced to 50 days in jail, the DA said.
