It’s take me out to the ballgame by boat for New York Mets and Yankees fans this season, courtesy of Delta Air Lines.

And it’s free.

Those bound for Yankee Stadium or Citi Field can board New York Water Taxi ferries at South Street Seaport with a pick-up location at East 35th Street and the East River.

Two Delta Baseball Water Taxis will leave from South Street Seaport 90 minutes before the opening pitch. Fans are assured of arrival 30 minutes before the game is scheduled to start. On board, fans can buy Delta signature “Fly Ball” cocktails, beer, soft drinks and snacks in the Water Taxi Café and drink and eat on the open top deck or watch pre-game activities on wide-screen television inside the interior deck.

The limit is 147 passengers for each boat with tickets to be picked up at South Street Seaport as early as two hours before the boat leaves. A limited number of tickets will be available at nywatertaxi.com.

Delta, the official airline of the Yankees and Mets, was scheduled to launch the service this Thursday with boats to a Yankees-Detroit Tigers game. The free rides will accommodate fans going to home games of both teams throughout the season.
