New York gas prices drop
Gas prices continued their downward trend this week coming in at $4.144 – six cents lower than a week ago, according to AAA’s fuel gauge report.
Today’s prices are ten cents lower than last month, but still over a dollar more than customers were paying at the pump this time last year.
The highest recorded gas prices in the city were recorded on July 16, 2008 when the price hit $4.411. The average gas price nationally is $3.78, down more than four cents from last week
